TRANSPORTATION

To get to the hotel from the airport you can:

Take a taxi     (fare is about 35.00) - they will allow 4 people in the taxi. Taxi cues are on the arrivals level to your left as you exit. There also is limousine service with flat rates you can inquire about on the arrivals level. All taxis are standardized in fares. Some of the larger cab companies are: Yellow, Associated

Take the bus    - there is a bus that leaves directly from the airport. It is route 57, that leaves from Bus Bay 20 on the arrivals level.  You must transfer at the Whitehorn station to the Light Rail transit going to City Centre, get off at the Olympic Plaza Station downtown, walk across 7th ave (the avenue that the trains run up and down), turn left and go to the City Hall Station. Get on the Somerset/Bridlewood (Southbound) train (not the Whitehorn). You get off at the 39 ave LRT station and turn right. Walk half a block up the alley, and you arrive at the hotel on your left. Bus fare is 2.25 and they take exact change only. Save your ticket as you may be asked for proof of fare on the LRT.  For further transit info such as times etc. Go to the Calgary Transit website: www.calgarytransit.com

Getting about Calgary:

To Pool and Back

LRT

The LRT stops about 2 blocks from the pool. Get on the northbound (Dalhousie) train at the 39 ave station. Get off at the next stop (Erlton/Stampede). Cross Macleod Trail at 25 ave and turn right. The pool is a couple of blocks on your left.

WALKING

This hotel is 3 blocks closer to the pool than the Days Inn which we usually use. Go out the front doors and turn right, you are going north. Walk up and over Cemetary Hill (why you ask? Take in the lovely scenery of the Chinese cemetary on the left and the regular cemetary on the right). Cross Macleod Trail at the first set of lights at the bottom of the hill (25 Ave) and go north again. The Talisman Centre is a long block up on your left.
